- Hidden Gift — The standout name in the 15:18 EBF Fillies' Novice Stakes. Rated 88 and ridden by Oisin Orr, she was the class act in that field by a significant margin. If she ran anywhere near her rating, she'd have been winning this comfortably. Keep her very much on your radar — she's the type that could step up in class and still be competitive.
- Zephyra — The only runner in the 16:50 EBF Fillies' Restricted Novice Stakes with a rating (77), handled by Jack Gilligan over seven furlongs and 75 yards. In a field of unrated fillies, that kind of benchmark is significant. One to follow if connections decide to step her up.

- Great Blasket — Jason Hart's mount in the opener, rated 75, and worth keeping tabs on. Hart doesn't ride bad horses, and Great Blasket looks like the kind of solid performer who could pop up in a similar contest and cause a few headaches for bookmakers.
The Jockey Watch: Some Big Names, Some Big Rides
You couldn't help but notice the quality in the saddle today. Daniel Tudhope was all over this card — riding in the opener on Cosmos Raj, the nursery on Kigali, and the fillies' novice on Myesme. When Tudhope's doing the rounds at a track, there's usually a reason. He's not a man who travels for the scenery.
Oisin Orr had a busy book too — Hidden Gift in the fillies' novice, Aughavannon in the restricted maiden, Desert Treasure in the sprint handicap, and Benedetti in the evening fillies' novice. That's a serious workload and suggests connections with serious intent.
Joanna Mason deserves a special mention. The local knowledge she brings to Bangor-on-Dee is second to none. Five rides across the card today — she's practically part of the furniture here, and in the best possible way. When Mason's on a horse with course form, you don't ignore it.
P. J. McDonald was another big name in the weighing room, riding Emerald Bay in the nursery and Duty's Call in the fillies' novice. McDonald at his best is a formidable force, and both those rides are worth a second look in the form book.
