About Huntingdon

Nestled in the heart of Cambridgeshire, Huntingdon Racecourse is a firm favourite on the National Hunt circuit, offering a warm welcome and thrilling jump racing action. Established in 1886, it’s a track steeped in history but with a modern, friendly vibe. The course itself is a right-handed, undulating oval, measuring approximately 1 mile 4 furlongs per circuit. Its relatively sharp turns and testing uphill finish make it a proper jumping test, often seen as a good proving ground for novice chasers and hurdlers learning their trade. Huntingdon hosts two notable Grade 2 contests: the Peterborough Chase in December, a fantastic mid-season target for top-class chasers, and the Sidney Banks Memorial Novices' Hurdle, a key stepping stone for promising young hurdlers. With excellent viewing and a buzzing atmosphere, Huntingdon provides a cracking day out for any Paddock Punter.
