The Epsom Derby is the greatest Flat race in the world, the ultimate test for three-year-old thoroughbreds over a mile and a half on the famous undulating Downs course. First run in 1780, it remains the jewel in the crown of British Flat racing. Derby Day also features the Oaks and the Coronation Cup.
